How Illuminating Moisturisers Work Differently
A traditional highlighter is applied on top of your makeup as a finishing step and sits on the surface of the skin. An illuminating moisturiser works from the base — the light-diffusing particles are embedded in the hydrating formula, which means the glow looks more integrated into the skin rather than placed on top of it. This formula uses finely milled light-reflecting particles that catch light across a range of skin tones without looking ashy or too silver, which is a common problem on deeper Indian complexions with standard illuminating products.
What to Honestly Expect
The glow from this moisturiser is subtle to moderate — it's a "your skin but better" effect, not a blinding highlight. If you want a dramatic, editorial glow, you'd use this as a base and add a concentrated highlighter on top of your cheekbones and nose.
